Repeatedly divided into increasingly small rooms over the course of its over 100-year history, this spacious Hamilton Heights apartment was rife with potential to be brought back to its original glory, albeit with modern amenities and a contemporary aesthetic. Our primary goal was to create an open and light-filled living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as a master suite for the client, a writer. The deep floor plan challenged us to find ways to bring light to the interior and rear of the apartment. Details such as the rounding of wall/ceiling seams and a bespoke glass and steel door enabled us to wash the space with light.

We were also commissioned as the interior designer of this project, selecting all fittings and furniture on behalf of the client.
